Freighters, 1996, portrays a wonderful interior view of the improbable, giant ships that are “housed” within enormous classical fortresses. The small figures scurrying about are dwarfed alongside the ships and the structures, occupied by these relics that the figures themselves have created. The piece has a timeless, quiet mood, along with a profound sense of allegorical significance.
